According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Kevin Cichowski allegedly hit one victim with a cane, threw a cellphone at another, and threatened to kill both the victims and the responding deputies if law enforcement was called. Deputies say the victims, both over the age of 65, were found hiding inside a bedroom and were safely removed before Cichowski was taken into custody. Authorities say he is now facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery, battery on a person over 65, robbery by sudden snatching, and tampering with a witness. Officials also said Cichowski made suicidal statements and was placed under the Baker Act following his arrest. Reports say he filed with the Florida Division of Elections as a Democratic candidate.
